a. television
b. microphone
c. radio
d. torchlight

pls help me!

Electromagnetic waves are in essence light…

Television emits light….it makes use of em waves…

Microphones convert sound from your mouth into electricity through the wire and back into sound in a speaker. IT DOES NOT MAKE USE OF EM WAVES!

The radio receives a form of EM waves, Radio waves…a kind of light that you cannot see. It makes use of em waves…

The torchlight, similar to the Television, emits light/em waves.

Thus the answer is B. The microphone.

Well EM waves include light, radio waves, microwaves, electricity, gamma rays. In terms of the end result:

a. television emits light and uses EM waves for transmission
b. Microphone emits sound which is not an EM wave
c. Radios use radio waves
d. Torchlights emit light

So in terms of emission, microphone would be the right answer. But it is also true that microphones use electricity to work, an EM wave. So considering that none of options presented do not use EM waves in their operations.
