Call of duty: Modern warfare 2 questions?(Spoilers)?
Ok, so I have the game. It’s awesome, multiplayer rocks, and spec ops is great. But the campaign, It’s definitely epic, but the story confusion got the best of me, so I want to ask a few questions:

The purpose of Shepard’s betrayal?

Captain Price in prison?

Does anyone know who Ghost is? Some say it’s Gaz, but he got shot point blank….in the face…is it possible to survive that or something? Not gonna lie though, Ghost sounded like Gaz( same voice actor)

Washington DC invasion?

Airline supports falling from the sky? like, a satellite from space or something blew up, but where did that nuke come from? Did Prince launch it on purpose or something?( that mission when Captain Price went into the submarine, and the missle launched)

Makarov killing Allen after terrorist attack? Did Shepard rat him out? And also, was that operation directed by shepard(trying to ask because you are letting a American soldier help out killing hundreds at an airport, just to get to get close to Makarov?

And another thing, is Ramirez(I think thats his name), Foley(black dude lol) And Dunn(2nd in command,) are they alive? Last time you see them, they are popping green flares at Whiskey hotel…..what happened to them next?

And I know the ending, epic ending, Soap still alive and all, but somehow with these people surviving and all, makes me wonder about Shepard coming back alive with an eye patch haha.

Alright mate I’ll do my best too answer these questions.

Shepard is a patriot, he upholds america values too such a degree he could be viewed as an extremist. The nuclear missile that killed his 30,000 men in modern warfare destroyed his integrity as a general and he wants revenge. Task Force 141 was set up by Shepard alone,he molded them into what he wanted, a force that would upset the balance of power between russia and the USA. Shepard wanted too seek global recognition for his ‘efforts’ too quell the rise of russian power. To do this he needed too kill the key players (Roach and Ghost and almost Mactavish) too ensure his moment in the spotlight would not become tarnished by real heroes.

I personally believe Ghost is masked in the game too allow the gamer too ask himself the question..who is this person? Mysteries are intriguing too the human mind and i don’t think we will ever know who that man was. Gaz was shot at point blank range by a magnum into the base of his skull. He is dead.

Captain Price at the end of Modern warfare is being revived by a frantic medic. These russian soldiers loyal too the government are doing there utmost too save this man. Within the confines of the story in modern warfare 2 no mention is given as too why Price ended up in a Gulag. We can only assume he was betrayed at some point or kidnapped. But i cant elaborate on this matter further as i honestly do not know the facts surrounding his imprisonment.

The mission ‘contingency’ which you talk of is the beginning of the end for the russian forces in and above Washington DC. Price sets the Nuclear missile from the submarine too explode in space but above america. The International Space Station is destroyed and all her astronauts are killed (bit of a bastard for saying ‘good’ when Mactavish says noooo!!!’) but the EMP resulting from the nuclear explosion shuts down all communication systems and electronics. The entire russian air force is immobilized which gives american forces time too stage a counter attack.

The war in america ends when the green flairs are popped. That entire unit of american soldiers do suvive. Soap makes a comment about it near the end of the game. He says ’strange i thought the war ended yesterday?’ when Shepard says we need too finish this now. Its subtle but explains lot.

The ‘no russian’ mission is directed by Sheperd. The ACS module which you retrieve in the snow blizzard level has already been cracked by the russians. Allen’s mission is directly after that encounter. Thus i beleive Allen was found to be a mole because Makorov had the intell that a spy was going too join his ranks. The Acs module is a satellite.

hopefully in the next modern warfare Makorov will be less angry, Anyway hope this helped.
