100 Feet (2008) IMDB rating: 6.60 Plot: A young woman, Marnie Watson, is granted early release from her prison sentence for manslaughter (killing her husband – a violent NYC cop – in self defense) on condition she wear an electronic ankle bracelet and remain within her home, effectively under house arrest, for the remainder of her sentence. Her late husband’s partner keeps tabs on her from a patrol car parked across the street, hoping she’ll violate probation and he can send her back to prison. But the 100-foot radius her ankle bracelet allows isn’t the worst of her problems. Her dead husband —now a malevolent ghost—is still in the house, where he died — intent on savage revenge.

2)a syrup manufacturer want to make enough syrup to earn at least $2000 this month. they can sell each bottle of syrup for $5 but it costs them $500 to operate the factory for the month. how many bottle of syrup do they need to sell this month to meet their goal?

3) mikayla would like to walk at least 70 blocks over the next five days. if she already walked 5 blocks yesterday, how many block does she need to walk every day to meet her goal?

4)the length of lisa’s rectangular dining room in 12 ft. if the area of the room is at least 96 square feet, what is the smallest width the room could have?

5) lucy earned $400 and $550 in interest the last 2 years. how much interest she earn this year so that her average earnings over the three year period is more than $600?

6)robert makes $3.50 per hour working at a store. if her gets a bonus of $25 this week, how many hours must he work to make at least $165?

7)the low temperatures for the last two days were 28 and 15. what must the low temperature for the next day be in order for the average temperature for the 3-day period to be less than 19?

jacob and andrew want to earn at least $1000 this summer mowing lawns. they owe their parents $100, though., if they earn $40 for each lawn that they mow, hoe many lawns to they have to mow to meet their goal?

The average (or mean) of all 5 exams must be greater than or equal to 80% (or 0.8)
so (315+X)/5 >= 80
315+x >= 5*80
315+x >= 400
x>= 400 – 315
x>= 85

2) profit goal = 2000
but it will cost 500 to run the factory so we need to sell at least enough (>=) to cover that as well :
so sales goal >= profit goal + operating cost

sales goal >= 2000 + 500
sales goal >= 2500

units that must be sold to meet sales goal >= 2500 / 5
units that must be sold to meet sales goal >= 500

3) final goal : 70 blocks
portion of goal already accomplished = 5
blocks to accomplish goal = 70 – 5 = 65

days to accomplish goal = 4
blocks per day she will need to walk = 65 / 4 = 16.25

They have to make 1100$. 1100/40 = 27,5 lawns so 28 lawns at least to earn 1100$
