A Norwegian newspaper has recently published a few Internet links that lead to the Muhammad cartoons.
As a result, 1000 Muslim taxi drivers had blocked the central roads in Oslo with their cars between 2 am and 4 am.
Next week, the Muslims are planning to block lots of roads throughout Oslo during the rush hours, making it hard for people to go to work and come back home.
Do you think it's fair that such a demonstration, which has not gained permission by the police, blocks the streets and stops traffic for innocent people because of one single newspaper?

I think it's not fair to the public.
But I think if the Norwegian Government are caring enough to its own people, they can just issue an apology and directed the newspaper to stop making fun on religious sensitivities.

I don't think it's fair of people who live in a country that values freedom of speech, of the press, and of religion, to suddenly decide that there's too much freedom of religion or that freedom of speech and religion belongs only to them.
Speech, the press, and religion are not free when they are limited.
Until Muslims recognize that the same freedoms that allow them to practice their religion openly in countries without a Muslim majority, to speak about their beliefs, and to publish information about those beliefs also allows other people to mock their (or anyone else's) beliefs, they will constantly be in conflict with the Western societies in which they live.
I am appreciating the irony of them feeling free to protest because they don't like freedom of the press.

What is the big deal about the movie Paranormal Activity?
From the looks of the trailer, the hype is probably bigger than the movie itself. I hate these "reality" type movies. The movies make out to be unprofessional, raw, and unedited with first person point of view with the jerky cameras like Cloverfield. What a totally stupid unworthy movie. At least, Blair Witch Project was a good movie.
If someone has actually watched the movie (in its entirety), tell me what you really think. Is it worth watching, and were you really impressed? Please, rate the movie out of 5 stars.

I have not seen the movie but alot of people are saying they really liked it so idk but i love the show on Discovery Channel called "A Haunting". It's a great show! Your list is very good, out of your list The Exorcist, Amityville Horror(the one with Ryan Reynolds), Rosemary's Baby, and The Omen are on my list as well. If you like scary you should watch "Ringu" from 1998, the original Japanese version of "The Ring". It's five times scarier and way better.

well 1st off i have NOT seen it YET. i cannot wait to tho. it will semm raw and unedited since it was made with a $15,000 budget. i dont think it will be too jerky cuz from the looks of it the cameras they put thru the house are on tripods. the whole point of that type of movie, with a handheld camera, is to make the audience feel like they are in the movie. u say u dont like that type so im doubting ur gonna even give it a chance and u have already made up ur mind that its going to suck..

I saw the movie a few weeks ago and it did live up to my expectations. It wasn't as scary as i thought it was gonna be though. Its not a pop out scare you type movie like most horror movies today. Its very tense, my hands were sweating the entire film. It was about the sounds you hear and the things you see (and sometimes dont see) that made it soo scary. The movie makes you feel like you are right there, its kinds like your watching a snuff film. Pretty bad a$$. I would give it a 4.25 out of 5. Best horror movie i've seen in awhile. The camera pretty much is on a tripod for most of the movie so you dont have to worry about it being that jerky. Overall is was a great movie. I suggest watching it before you judge it. Easy to criticize something you haven't seen yet. Go see the movie and judge it for yourself.

What can i do to improve my throwing skills, I am not a QB in any Football team in high school or college or pro, But i want to prepare myself for the next football game that i'm going to play with my friends? i curretly have stress fracture form Cross country, And i also played a game with my friend in the fall, i was the QB postion and i threw for five touchdowns and ran for one.This was agiast a groupd of older high school kids and i was the youngest of all. How do I get rid of this guy that is obsessed with me?
I'm not joking.
In the beginning, I wasn't sure if I liked him in that way. But after going to the movies with him and my friends, I realized that I wanted nothing more but to be friends.
I've told him this about 6 times? I've told him that me and him will NEVER EVER happen.
Anyway. He always asks me who I'm talking to on MSN, he gets pissed off when I'm talking to other guys, or if I'm not talking to him enough. He got all pissed off because I was talking to this guy I like on the phone, and I told him that I can't really talk on MSN - coz I have trouble typing and talking kinda thing.
He always wants to know where I am, and what I am doing. He always tries to put people down and himself up. He is very arrogant too.
Because I mentioned the guy I like to him - because I thought he no longer liked me in that way and he was telling me how he likes this other girl too - he keeps asking me how me and the guy I like are, and when I'm going to meet him again, what I see in him and shit. He even asked me about a week ago what I saw in that guy. And everytime I would be like - you know, just friend to friend, and ask him how him and that girl he likes is, he gets pissed off!
He texts me, leaves facebook wall posts, and calls me. One time he called me just because he wants to say goodnight.
I seem to always be in his MSN display names, saying I'm beautiful or something like that with 'xoxox' at the end - umm, I thought he liked another girl?
His dn atm says something to do with how I made his day the best day ever, and that I'm awesome - but the thing is... I haven't spoken to him for like a week... and the last time I saw him was before Christmas, and before the dn he has now, he had something to do with the girl he liked. So I'm kind of confused.
I'm only 15 and I honestly don't want to get parents involved or anything rational like that. How can I deal with him myself?
(Oh, and I don't know if this is important or not. But before I said that me and him will never EVER happen, he used to EXPLAIN tp me how he wants to kiss me and touch me and stuff. And when I spoke to his aunty who is 17/18 on MSN after me telling him I want to be friends, she told me that he was inlove with me and he cried heaps when I 'broke his heart').

Honestly, you need to get your parents involved. I know you don't want to, but he sounds pretty crazy. Like the fact he told his relatives he was involved with you? W. T. F. totally inappropriate. Anyways, I know you don't want to, but they really should know what's going on. It'd be much easier to have them supporting you and helping stop this creep then for them to be searching for you because he kidnapped you or raped you. You really need to find a way to have absolutely nothing to do with this guy. It honestly sounds like he's delusional and won't stop.

you need to do what you can to end the relationship and to block him on facebook and msn and whatever other forms of contact he has with you... and he wont like it but he needs to know that you are serious and that you dont want to be with him any longer..
its ok to let your parents know whats going on so they can help you and protect you from him.. if you dont do something he could get even worse than he is now...
also tell your friends that you know that you dont want anything to do with him... so they can watch out for you and help u
you might want to read a book called "in love and in danger" its about dealing with teenage abusive relationships...
try to do things differently so he never knows where u are or what your doing and try to have some one with you all the time...

Okay, this is what I think you should do because I have experienced something similar to this. Text him and say in the text that you do not want him to contact you anymore and that there is nor will there ever be a relationship between the both of you. Save that text on your phone in case you might need it. Be very clear. After that, then just totally, and I mean TOTALLY ignore him. Ignore his calls. Ignore his texts. Ignore him on MSN. Try your best to ignore him when you're in his presence. After a couple of weeks of TOTALLY ignoring him, he should get the message.
If he continues to harrass you after a month, then you will need to take this on to your parents, okay? If he can't get the message after a month then you're going to need help getting the message through to him. Good luck with this.

Any creative punishments for a teen?
So my daughter is 14 years old nearly 15 but she has just recently lost her dad about three months ago and she ran away. When I found her we talked through it and any attempt I made to make her feel better or talk about her dad she became violent and threw lamps at me, smashed glassed at me.
It is scary having to stand there, I couldn't ever raise a hand to her I just couldn't so please no advice on how I should it would be disregarded instantly.
Every time she goes outside she runs away and then ends up on my doorstep later that day cold and hungry. I am afraid to let her out alone but I don't want to baby her.
The school has let her off for two months for her fathers death and her disorders. I think she may have an eating disorder, she eats the meals I give her except for bread and any saturated fat. She cuts out the calorie counts on packaging so she knows how many she eats a day and she fills up on water. She isn't stick thin though about 111 pounds.
The thing is I know all this and she has had therapy but she refused to talk or anything. She ruins her room, curses and screams, keeps the neighbors awake at night p.s. we live in an apartment now we had to move because the old house reminded her of her dad too much.
I try and talk to her as much as possible and try and help her but I don't know what to do. I am 36 and afraid for my well being every time I enter her room. She calls me curse words instead of my name, insults me, and has started wearing dark makeup on her face ruining her skin and sleeping all day.
She is tight with her friends though and keeps with them so I know depression isn't in it.
The thing is the school wont take her because of her recent shoplifting and breaking furniture and vandalizing.
I can't keep letting her do this I love her but it is hard dealing with no husband and a violent daughter. She needs rules and structures again but she locks herself in her room so groundings aren't even on the cards neither is TV nor computer because she uses none of it anymore.
Please help I need my daughter back so we can help each other

For those of you who realized I have been trying to see how her mind would work when I saw her taking pills I wanted to know if they were pills for throwing up because of her loss of weight, after her father died she weighed 83 pounds and I needed to see if that was normal since she was still taking the tablets that caused her to throw up.

If you can, I would find a program where she can have school and therapy. I think it's called "partial hospitalization" or something.
She'll work on schoolwork in the morning then from lunch to the end of the day (somewhere between 2-4), she'll be in therapy- group therapy, individual therapy, art therapy, music therapy, even games and exercise.
Talk to a guidance counselor at her school and see what kind of options you have in the area.

Only God knows. All we know comes from the Quran. Frankly, I think these scenerios are a bit outdated. I don't believe many people in Saudi Arabia still use camels this much or any of that. Also, Islam isn't all about mathematics and division of properties. It is mentioned but that isn't central to the religion. Islam is a way of life, the Quran is our guide which we must use to become a good person. So if a person truly followed the religion closely, he would let his anger overtake him and kill someone (that's a sign of serious anger problem), kidnap a girl and force her to marry him, or any of that. Tax is not mentioned in the Quran, to the best of my knowledge. Saudi laws are not the best example of Islam. For example women are not allowed to drive when according to the religion, parents must teach their children to swim and ride horses (today that can mean driving). Girls are not excluded from this.
Are 100 camels equal to a kidnapping?
My answer: Only God knows for sure. He's the one that will judge the person on Judgment Day. But in my opinion, it depends. Allah knows our intentions and thoughts and secrets. If the man did not feel remorse for the kidnapping and did not care to repent, I doubt it matters how much gold or camels he gives. If he sincerely felt remorse and wanted to change, maybe God may forgive him.
All of which I've already said can be applied to your other questions. I recommend you read the Quran thoroughly and carefully if you haven't already to familiarize yourself better with the religion. It's not meant to make things complicated.

IMDB rating: 7.50 Plot: The story begins in 1957 in the star-filled skies above California's Mojave Desert. It is a special night for noted astronomer Ted Lewis, who is preparing a special dinner for his beautiful, adoring wife Lana to celebrate their wedding anniversary. In another part of town, Tammy, a waitress at small local diner with big plans for the future, looks out her window and is excited to see a shooting star, which she takes as a good sign for her dreams. But, what Dr. Lewis and Tammy assume is a shooting star, is really an alien spaceship. The fiery ball hurtles toward earth and crash-lands on a butte in the desert. The only witnesses are teens Dick and Penny who are necking in a nearby lover's lane. A tall, metallic alien named Urp emerges from the craft unharmed, alarmed to discover that the monstrous Ghota, who was also on board, has escaped. The menacing one-eyed creature's unquenchable appetite could mean the end of civilization as we know it. Urp is the only one who knows how to stop the hideous extra-terrestrial, but to do so he has to take over the body of Dr. Lewis and enlist the aid of Tammy, the only human in town willing to believe and trust in his mission. The local police - including Chief Dawson and Officer Vern - are confirmed skeptics and offer little help. Together, Urp and Tammy must hunt down the Ghota and neutralize it before it consumes all the local inhabitants and uses the human fuel to multiply and conquer the world! |

Man faces 4th deportation after Brewster arrest
BREWSTER - A Guatemalan man with multiple arrests who has been deported at least three times since 2002 after entering the country illegally was picked up again this week when Putnam sheriff's deputies found him squatting inside a vacant Park Street house, police said yesterday.
William D. Mejia, 31, is being held at the Putnam County jail on a federal immigration detainer after police charged him Tuesday with criminal trespass, a misdemeanor; and unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation, Sheriff Donald B. Smith said.
He could face deportation proceedings for a fourth time.
It wasn't until Mejia arrived at the jail that authorities there notified federal immigration officials and learned of his past. Smith said he was deported for the first time May 25, 2002, from an undisclosed location.
Mejia was deported a second time Oct. 18, 2007, after serving 15 days in the Putnam jail, convicted of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle in Brewster. He was deported a third time Dec. 30, 2008, after being sentenced to 90 days and serving time in the Westchester County jail for an assault in Mount Kisco.
Smith said that immigration officials were checking whether Mejia, who police say may have used several aliases, may have been deported in early 2008 as well. Mejia also has a 2004 conviction for driving while ability impaired in Bedford.
He was arraigned before Southeast Justice Richard Vercollone on behalf of Brewster Village Court and is due in court at 5 p.m. Aug. 10. Vercollone set bail at $5,000 cash.
Smith said Mejia's case shows that the battle against illegal immigration must be fought on the federal level.
"This illustrates a simple and indisputable fact that without real action being taken at the national level of government to secure our nation's borders, these lawbreakers are merely being sent for a spin through a revolving door," he said.

This is a hard question to answer.
However, if a "Berlin Wall" was built with the proper sentries, training, technology, and willingness to kill illegal immigrants when necessary then there would be less of a need to deport them. It sounds cold but that is what it would take.
Other than that, build a massive maximum security prison on the the Mexican side and put them all there for 20 years.

Best Super Bowl Commercial?
Very dissapointing spots for me..i kinda liked the Bud Light commercial where every guy talked like T-Pain and the doritos spot with the little kid slapping his mom's boyfriend. What do you guys think?
P.S. : I didn't see any controversy on the Tebow commercial..i dont know what the big deal is
I like the doritos one about the little kid's mom's boyfriend and the doritos one about Tim and doritos but last years was better and the Brett Favre in 2020
