Should I watch "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince"?
I'm a huge fan of the books, but I was disappointed by the other movies, especially the "Order of the Phoenix". The movies aren't bad as such, but I tend to compare them too much to the books. Of course, I should see them a bit more separately I guess...
What do YOU think? Is the "Half Blood Prince" movie definitely better than the others or will I be too disappointed because it leaves out too many important parts of the book?
you will be disappointed they do leave out a lot of the book but peoples idea of important part of any book is different .I like to read the books and then watch the movies

Hi, I would recommend you wait to watch the film. It ends rather suddenly and I think it would be better to watch when the next film comes out so you see them together.
I don't personally think this film is any better than the others, that's just my opinion.
Enjoy the book again rather than watching the film.

you should but rent it when it comes out(idk if it is) i haven t saw them. If you have a redbox machine by you get it. read the book then see the movie and try to get the differences. i problay woud have fliped a coin or somting

Here's what you should do:
First, take off your clothes.
Then, flip a quarter high in the air. Watch where it lands, but DON'T LOOK AT IT.
Then, sit on it. Hard.
And with your a*s, feel if the coin is Head's Up or Tails Up.
Heads - you watch the movie. Tails - you watch 27 Dresses.
Now see how easy that was. And it didn't take any thinking - just letting your a*s make the decision for you!

If you can't separate them in your mind, don't bother... because then you'll just go around complaining about how it didn't live up to your standards. Nobody wants that.
Cinematically, it was fantastic. I'm a huge, and I recommend it, but not because it relates closely to the book. Since when do movies have to be exactly like the books to be acceptable? Half of the movie would be boring a heck if we were stuck watching Harry look at Voldemort's past. Only hardcore fans would want that. The movies are just based on the books; the books aren't used as manuscripts for them or anything.

Personally if you have just read HP6 I would wait a couple of weeks for the story to sink in so as not to ruin the film; but i would definitely recommend watching the film, even if its at a later date! I read the third book about a week or so before the film came out and it ruined it a bit for me, so now I think that the third film isn't too good!!!

I think avid readers of the books will always be disappointed by the films. They do leave bits out, the acting isn't exactly fantastic in parts, and it's never going to match the images and characters you've created in your head. However, I find that the films do really manage to create amazing atmospheres, and Half Blood Prince is definitely a good example of that. Go see it. If you accept that it won't be as good as the book and that it's different, you'lll still be able to seperate the two and enjoy them as seperate things.

OMG IT IS LIKE FLIPIN AWESOME ! And I'm 16 ... It was sooooo funny ! I laughed 'till I cried !!! Its really good , better than Monsters vs. Aliens , if you saw it ...
Don't listen to the other people , except for Gina, there just saying it because it a kids movie , so what ! I don't care , I think it was great ! When I saw the movie I was like ," wow , what a lame movie , looks stupid " but its not , my friend made me see it with her , and I did not regret it . 8/10 .

IMDB rating: 4.70 Plot: A group of scientists are on tropical Solgel Island in the Pacific to conduct weather control experiments. Just before they begin, they find giant preying mantases measuring 25 feet tall called Kamakaras. They decide to go ahead with the experiments, but a malfunction in one of the devices and as a result a radioactive storm that pushes the temperature up to two hundred degrees. The storm also causes the mantases to grow even bigger to 100 feet tall. The manatases then make their way to a huge mound where they uncover a giant egg which contains a young Godzilla, later named Minilla. Eventually, Godzilla shows up and saves his offspring. The rest of the movie features Godzilla taking care of and teaching his young son the skills that will eventually help him to become the new "King of Monsters". |

How long did you swaddle your baby?
My lil guy is 3 1/2 months old. He gets swaddled at night and for some naps during the day. He sleeps so much longer with the swaddle (hours) opposed to not swaddling (20 minutes or so). They seem to comfort him and he is less cranky from lack of sleep. My hubby and I use the Kiddopotamus brand swaddles with the velcro closures that stay very well together. We just got him a couple bigger ones (14-22lb ones). He can pull his arms out, so we just swaddle him below his arms. If you swaddled your lil one, how long did you do that for? Did you transition to a sleep sack? Thank you! Just curious
I think I stopped swaddling my daughter around 4 months - she started hating being swaddled and liked having her arms free. It did affect how long she slept for - but her naps have just gotten shorter as she's gotten older anyway, lol

What does it mean when people hang empty glass bottles in a tree?
I've seen this in two movies now, "Because of Winn Dixie" and "The Princess and the Frog." I have a feeling it is probably something like a superstition in the South. However, I'm not sure, and I'm extremely curious. So, does anyone know? =]

The bottle tree was started in the deep south, mostly carried out by African Americans. Not sure what it meant to them but think it was a method of decorating a piece of their yard. Its still done in some locations, but not with the same meaning. Done more for nostalgia

for me i think Disney should have just left Pocahontas as is i loved the romance between John Smith and her! and then they killed it in the second movie. i know they did it to make the movie more historical and stuff but still i loved the first movie a lot more.
