what do u people think of my little poemy thing, its about a girl i like
?
before u start, im not an emo or anything
i was just not doing very much this evening and i remember a ts eliot poem i read a while ago and it got me thinking and i wrote this.
i stand alone, united and clear in my goals,
the past is set, the present is alive, and the future is as bright as the sun.
but then a change, that threatens to bring all of that down,
or complete it.
a beam of light which has always been a part of my universe,
althout sometimes hidden
Persephone.
once unreachable seems closer than ever.
fear,
fear of not knowing,
fear of failure,
hope,
hope of what might be
hope of sucsess.
the beam of light, grows ever more beautiful everytime i glance it,
stronger, growing, flawless in everyway.
i feel so close, but know that i am so far,
i can see what might be, but dare not dream any more
as a dream lasts a lifetime
and even a second seems to long.
so close
now the time has come, i feel the time is right,
i feel i have come to a turning point on this long road.
To have squeezed my universe into a ball
my past my present...my future,
To roll it toward some overwhelming question
to hope that it is recieved and not lost,
and that it should be returned complete,
with the path of the future eteched in its surface
how hope i do not have to say
"That is not what I meant at all.
That is not it, at all."
for a journey without an end is a damned voyage
but a journey with an end is a fairy tale
and who ever heard of a fairy tale with a sad ending
a vision of beauty i see every day
and think of every night,
glowing face, and eyes such deep brown
Till a human voice wake us, and we drown.
tell me what u think/ what u make of it
have a great night everybody
well i did say i took inspitation from a ts eliot poem, i wont deny that, his poem really, like made an inpact, and the thoughts that provoked led to this
Poetry today is just so cheesy. It's just mixing of poems from years gone by and yours is no exception.

Can anyone find me a citation from Hamlet?(I need help??)?
the citation that I am looking for is about:
1. Polonius believes Prince Hamlet's madness is due to?
2. Queen Gertrude believes Prince Hamlet's madness is due to?
3. King Claudius hopes Prince Hamlet's madness is due to?
4. Guildenstern and Rosencrantz believe what?
That's four citations. And do your own homework.

What to do about my ex girlfriend?
my ex girlfriend broke up w/ me around dec 28th sandwiched in between xmas and new years day. we lived together for 3 yrs and two months. i was devestated. she has two kids that arent mine and i have no kids and im 27. i thought we could work things out but i have came to the realization that some things u just cant work out. she told me she wanted to be single again. the problem is this. both of our names are on the lease. if i move out at the end of the month the landlord told me that there would be no penalty which is fine. the situation is she wants us to move out together at the beginning of march. i have been told by family i could move back home and get my life restarted again find a job, go back to school, etc. we never talked about the end game strategy until this past sunday. i wish we wouldve talked about it earlier but thats water under the bridge. she knew this day would come. she's getting $7300 back in refund from her taxes on feb 1st. i have stayed here for a whole month paying the bills on time, feeding the kids, and the normal things in the house until she gets her tax refund back, so in effect i didnt abandon her w/ nothing. her ex is in jail and when he was out of prison he didnt spend any time w/ his kids. her mom lives w/ us and gambles her money away. the whole time we arent together. the whole time she has a profile online that i know of saying she's "looking for casual dating and and to make new friends." what do i do? she's trying to make me feel guilty but i'm the one that has to look for a new job and she doesnt. i'm the one that has to start over and theoretically she doesnt. i need to go home and start looking for a new job right away and not wait and lose a month. what do i do? how do i know this isnt some ploy to just make excuses for me to stay and stay longer until its convenient for her u know. i need guidance. i dont mean to be an *sshole but she broke up w/ me.
when i asked her what are my good qualities when we did break up she said that i was caring, responsible, considerate, funny (sometimes) and hardworking
You sound like a nice guy. You cared for her kids and were a good boyfriend.
She's the woman with kids and a baby daddy in jail. Nice...
She breaks up with you after three years like nothing happened and expects you to be there to help her until she gets her money and can finally get rid of you?
I say, fuu<k her, (I wrote it like that on purpose so that Y!a doesn't delete it) Seriously. You need to start a new life and she doesn't give a flying monkey about it. Do whatever is best for YOU. Being those kids suck...but you know what? It's not your problem. Sorry. You're not the daddy and their mom is a royal cun7 to you. So, no.
Leave, do whatever you need to do and move on with your life. I'm sorry, but she's a really trashy woman and you deserve better. She should be alright with all the child support she receives.

Hurt plays a man who is traveling the world taking pictures with a special camera that will enable the blind to see (specifically, his blind mother). Have you read the Sermon of Bibi Zainab in Yazid's court?
When they reached the outskirts of Damascus they were made to halt. Yazid was informed of their arrival and he fixed a date for their entry into the city.
On the morning of the appointed day, the members of the family of the Holy Prophet (s) were led into Damascus. They were tied with ropes and herded together like goats. If anyone stumbled she was whipped. The city streets had been decorated and the sound of music filled the air. People came out in throngs wearing festive clothes and rejoiced when they saw the procession, preceded as always by the heads of the martyrs. Bearing themselves with dignity and self-respect, the prisoners were paraded through Damascus. Zaynab (a) even cast aside the offerings of food that some of them out of compassion offered them.
The son of an enemy of the Prophet (s) who had waged war with Imam Ali (a) was among the crowds. When he saw Imam Zayn ul-Abidin (a) he jeeringly asked him who was now victorious. In reply the Imam said: "If you wish to find out who has been victorious, do so when it is time for prayer and the Adhan and Iqamat are recited."
In this manner the captives were paraded until the afternoon when they reached the palace of Yazid. There he was seated on his throne and was much pleased when he saw the forty-four bound captives arrive. The head of Husayn was then brought to him on a golden tray. He struck the Imam's teeth with his stick and said: "O Husayn! You have paid the price of your revolt."
When Zaynab (a) and her companions saw this show of arrogance they burst into tears and there were many present who were ashamed. But Yazid carried on gloating over his victory. He said to his subjects: "My ancestors who were killed at Badr have been avenged today. Now it is clear that the Bani Hashim had just staged a play to gain power and there was never any divine revelation."
Zaynab (a) however was not afraid. She drew herself up and boldly said for all to hear:
"Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds and blessings on my grandfather, the Chief of divine prophets."
"O Yazid, Allah says, and his word is true, that: 'Then evil was the end of those who did evil because they rejected the communications of Allah and used to mock them' [30:10]."
"O Yazid, do you believe that you have succeeded in closing the sky and the earth for us and that we have become your captives just because we have been brought before you in a row and that you have secured control over us? Do you believe that we have been afflicted with insult and dishonour by Allah and that you have been given honour and respect by Him? You have become boastful of this apparent victory that you have secured and you have started feeling jubilant and proud over this prestige and honour. You think that you have achieved worldly good, that your affairs have become stabilised and our rule has fallen into your hands. Wait for a while. Do not be so joyful. Have you forgotten Allah's saying: 'The unbelievers should not carry the impression that the time allowed to them by us is good for them. Surely we give them time so that they may increase their evil deeds, and eventually they will be given insulting chastisement' [3:178]."
"O son of freed slaves, is this your justice that you keep your own daughters and slave maids veiled while the daughters of the Prophet of Allah are being paraded from place to place exposed."
"You have dishonoured us by unveiling our faces. Your men take us from town to town where all sorts of people, whether they be residents of the hills or of riversides have been looking at us."
"The near as well as the remote ones, the poor as well as the rich, the low as well as the high - all casting their glances at us while our position is such that there is no male relative of ours to render us help or support."
"O Yazid, whatever you have done proves your revolt against Allah and your denial of His Prophet (s) and of the Book and Sunnah that the Holy Prophet (s) brought from Allah. Your deeds should not cause amazement because one whose ancestors chewed the livers of the martyrs, whose flesh grew up on virtuous people, who fought against the Chief of divine prophets, who mobilised parties for fighting against him and drew swords against him, should conspicuously excel all Arabs in unbelief, sinfulness, excesses, and enmity against Allah and His Prophet (s)."
"Remember that the evil deeds and sinful actions that you have committed are the result of unbelief and old rancour you bear because of your ancestors who were killed in Badr."
"One who cast his glance of enmity, malice and rancour upon us does not lag behind in practising enmity against us. He proves his unbelief, declares it with his tongue and jubilantly proclaims: 'I have killed the sons of the Prophet (s) of Allah and made his progeny captive,' and wishes that his ancestors had lived to see his achievement and to have exclaimed, 'O Yazid, may your hands not lose their strength, you have wreaked g

There are some things in life which you have to do yourself
@shaikhm
You claim to love the ahl-e-bayt yet you believe their enemies deserve paradise? Have you abandoned your ability to reason in your efforts to cover the @rse of the of the sons of Abu Sufyan and his followers
Once Imam Jafar bin Muhammad al Sadiq asked a scholar whether he thought the pronoun tum in kuntum (in the verse "Ye are the best of peoples, evolved for mankind....") referred to the Muslims in general? "Yes" was his reply.
"It means you, who killed the grandson of the Holy Prophet and tortured his family in captivity, are the best people brought forth by Allah to guide and benefit the mankind"? the Imam said.
"No. It cannot be!" The scholar exclaimed. "Behold! It refers only to those who are competent to lead mankind to truth", the Imam advised him.

Oh you yazid sympathizer;
Yazid was so enraged with Zaynab's bold defiance of his authority that he might have ordered her killed had not Abdullah ibn Umar ibn Aas intervened and begged that no notice be taken of her harsh words since she had suffered much grief and hardship and was broken-hearted.
Imam Zayn ul-Abidin [a.s.] would also have suffered death at the hands of Yazid on account of his fearless speech, had not Zaynab [a.s.] saved his life by begging Yazid to slay her also along with the boy. Yazid was moved by her love for the boy and spared his life. But death nevertheless took its toll. Sakina, daughter of Imam Husayn, died in captivity in Damascus at the age of four and was buried there.
Can't you sum it up for us?

A simple question....Yazeed being such a wicked and tyrant why did he allowed her to give such a long speech.
Either Yazeed was very good and meek person and all the story of Yazeed being wicked is made up
Or
The whole speech is imagination of a taqiah clad shia.
Edit@asker.. Your explanation is not satisfactory. You are giving explanation why Yazeed did not take revenge. My question why did he allowed her to insult him in very first place??? Sympathizer of Yazeed?? Well, why can't you answer my argument without abusing??? Is this a kind of cover up. ithan Ashari shia cannot be better than Yazeed, if you call it sympathy.

My ex bf called me evil after I just broke up with him. Can u tell me what you think?
So I had dated my highschool sweet heart for the second time. He had a baby during the time we weren't together. He is now 25 and I'm 23.
I tried to get over the ex and that he would never be able to move and that he would always have a baby. I was ok with this at the beginning, but I slowly started to not be so happy, and yes I did tell him this.
He also was really bad in bed, and basically had no clue what to do. Never gave me oral cuz he was scared to and had never done so in the past even thought I am well taken care of down there.
About 2 months ago I got pregnant with him. He never bought condoms, and I never had money for them. I started taking vit c to induce miscarraige and I did end up miscarrying. It was never my intention to continue with the pregnancy even if I didn't naturally miscarry, and we had discussed this as I did not want to have a baby with him because he already had one and the time was not right.
I told him I left him because of the fact that I will never be first in his life, more like 3rd to his baby and baby mamma. I never expected to be first since the beginning. I told him I felt he was giving me time that he didn't really had and I felt guilty for that.
I know the break up is fresh with him, and a reaction like this is normal. What's not normal, and something I've never heard before is that he called me evil for leaving him. I did the break up now rather than later because I do really care for him and want him to be happy. I knew I wasn't happy so if I were to stay in a relationship with him then he eventually wouldn't be happy as well.
He wanted to work through this baby mamma stuff, and the miscarraige stuff, but it was all too hard for me considering I'm finishing my post secondary degree, and we both have a lot going on in eachothers lives.
I just wanted an objective opinion. Do you think I'm evil for leaving him even though I was just being honest? Better I did it now than later right?
After he called me evil in a text I responded by saying:
'you have no idea what I've gone through emotionally and physically so that you wouldn't have another baby right now. U didn't respect my body because you never bought condoms except at the beginning & I didn't have money so I tried the vitamin C (which worked). If i was evil I wouldn't have taken into account how my choices for my body would affect your life. I get ur pissed and I'm not surprised. Until you get pregnant and have to go through an excruciating miscarraige, then you can call me evil. I'm sorry it had to end like this but please don't day things like that.'
OK... So final objective verdict from you... do you think I'm the evil one in this situation?
I'm not interested in hearing people voice their opinions about having sex before marriage, or adoption, or miscarriages, or even abortion. Please try and answer my question thoughtfully. I now have a proper form of birth control and already learned my lesson. Please don't respond to that aspect of the question. Thank you!!
both of these people above are idots, no one knows what happens through a persns body, i strongly feel abortions or miscarages are up to the woman, and intodays courts you would still have to handle the child, i garentee he doesnt have full custody of his currently child , so what makes any one (THIS IS TO THE WOMAN ABOVE ME) think tha he wants to deal with another one or will be able to fincial take care of any other one,
i do have to say getting involved with some one who already has a baby from my own experances, never turns out good for any one. they will ALWAYS hold the babys mommy or (daddy in my case) over you, i know its a sucky subject because i really liked her and her child, loved them lke they were my own. but i wasnt going to have to to deal with babies daddy always stopping by having his way getting what he wants and her bending over backwards trying not to piss him off. and me always getting pooped on because of it.
its hard to deal with period. i respect you for even trying. most woman meets a guy with a baby they wouldnt give him a chance. a man meets a woman, kinda common but the other way around is a little rare.
yes i think holding the baby thing over his ead is wrong. but i dont dis agree with your choce to miscarrage , i think he needs to understand that he will always hold his ababy and baby's mommy over you, and thats what the real resason is you wont stay with him. he needs to respect your emotions and your feelings and if he isnt or he will still hold mommy over you then u made the right choce by leaving him. i know it will be hard. i think about her daughter every day, hope they have a good life, and that the dad loves that child the way she deserves. but unfortnatly you have to realise that if you hang on it or hang around there will be a person who will love you treassure you your body and your feelings and, he will love you worship you and care for you the way you will love and care for him , and it will be a fullfilling relationship and a rewarding one... he is out there
good luck

IMDB rating: 5.70 Plot: Rookie Los Angeles cop Nick Styles is at a Los Angeles street fair, where hit man Earl Talbot Blake pulls a double cross on some drug dealers, killing four men. Minutes later, Nick shoots Blake in the knee, and Blake is grabbed by Nick's partner and best friend Larry Doyle. Nick becomes the focus of the media, thanks to an amateur cameraman's footage of Nick disarming Blake. Over the next few years, Nick's career takes off: he's offered a job in the district attorney's office, and his hip media style keeps him in the public eye. Nick marries a woman named Alice and they go on to have two daughters named Lisa and Monica. While Blake is in prison, he vows revenge on Nick. When Blake comes up for parole, he orchestrates a bloody escape — which includes faking his own death. Blake doesn't want Nick dead. He just wants Nick to suffer in spades. He wants to ruin Nick's life as completely as possible, and then have Nick sent to prison for murder so Nick will know how Blake feels. Blake begins his vendetta by killing city councilman U. B. Farris and planting evidence to make everyone think Nick and Farris are running an underage pornography ring. Blake then kidnaps Nick, forces him to take drugs and have sex with a prostitute, videotapes the whole thing, and then releases Nick. Nick tells everyone that it was Blake who kidnapped him, but everyone refuses to believe Nick because everyone thinks Blake is dead. That night, Blake breaks into Nick's house, and makes a threatening videotape with Lisa, Monica, and an ax in it, but Blake didn't actually do anything to Lisa and Monica. Nick is then suspended from the DA's office, with everyone thinking that Nick is mentally ill because he keeps saying that Blake is still alive. Blake then begins the final phase of his vendetta — he kills Larry and frames Nick for it. Blake also links Nick to misappropriation of public funds, specifically, the funds he's supposed to be raising for a children's center in a building at the base of the Watts tower. Nick is forced to turn to his childhood friend, gang leader Odessa, for help in clearing his name and stopping Blake once and for all. |

Why do my cats shake?
Three of my cats - Secret, Vido, and Ricochet - seem to shake a lot. They're outside right now, but even when they were inside where it's warm they would shake. Secret is the oldest, and one of the older brothers of the other two. His brother is perfectly fine, but Secret seems to shake a lot. Sometimes he's just shaking, other times he tenses up and trembles. I brought him inside today and he still shakes. He's always done this, and he's always been sort of afraid of people unless we bring him in. Vido, the middle sister, was really loud and would shake a lot when she was born. Sometimes she does it now, but it's usually when I pick her up, which is hard to do because she doesn't really like people unless she's inside. Ricochet, the youngest, shakes a lot too. She was born near the end of summer, so she couldn't have been cold, but she always shakes. Ricochet isn't really afraid of people, either. And I just realized today that all of them are siblings and not half-siblings. Their mother and father, who are brother and sister, never shakes. All of Mittens's kittens, the mother of their half-siblings and their aunt, don't shake.
All three of them have short fur, and it's pretty odd colored. Secret has short brownish-orangish-skin-coloredish fur. It's hard to describe. Vido has dark silver short fur with dark gray stripes. Ricochet has black and brown short fur that really makes her stand out.
Is the shaking genetic or something? Nothing has ever really happened to them that hasn't happened to the others. All of them are outside with the others, and none of them are really attacked by anything. Well, Jet sometimes goes after Secret and Prowler, but they always end up fine. Vido is never attacked by the other females, and Ricochet is never attacked by her littermates and mother. Is it genetic or no?
I'm afraid Ghat taking them to the vet is out of the question because as soon as I asked my bitch of a mother, she immediately said no because she's too fugging cheap to 'waste money on a shaking cat' so I'm apparently the only one that actually gives half a damn about them. I care about them more than I care about my own family. So yeah... I really want to take one of tem to the vet, but considering I'm only 14, I can't.
By the way, Secret was born maybe two or three years ago, Vido maybe a year or two, and Ricochet last year.
If both parents had the recessive trait for whatever disease is causing them to shake, it could very well be genetic. I believe that your cats have the trait for some kind of neurological disease. Ask your vet if they can do test to see exactly which one it is.

I dont want to scare you but I had a kitty who shook sometimes as he was just laying on the couch. I never thought anything of it. he was a strictly indoor cat and was 1 year and 2 months old. He all of the sudden got VERY SKINNY and very sick so I took him in asap...and he passed away that day. I had to put him to sleep cause it turns out he had FIV, feline infectious perotonitis. It only occurs in 10% of cats that are 1-2 years old. I think you should get their shaking checked out because my doctor said i should have told him about it. Good luck
