IMDB rating: 7.20 Plot: Frank Horrigan is a secret service agent who keeps thinking back to November 22, 1963, when, as a hand-picked agent by President Kennedy, he became one of the few agents to have lost a President to an assassin when Kennedy died. Now, former CIA assassin Mitch Leary is stalking the current President, who is running for re-election. Mitch has spent long hours studying Horrigan, and he taunts Horrigan, telling him of his plans to kill the President. Leary plans to kill the president because Leary feels betrayed by the government — Leary was removed from the CIA, and the CIA is now trying to have him killed. After talking to Leary, Horrigan makes sure he is assigned to presidential protection duty, working with fellow secret service agent Lilly Raines. Horrigan has no intention of failing his President this time around, and he's more than willing to take a bullet. White House Chief of Staff Harry Sargent refuses to alter the President's itinerary, while Horrigan's boss, Secret Service Director Sam Campagna, is supportive of Horrigan. As the election gets closer, Horrigan begins to doubt his own abilities, especially when Horrigan's colleague Al D'Andrea is killed by Leary. But Horrigan may be the only one who can stop Leary. |

Physics- Bullet fired into a spiral tube.?
I thought the answer was it goes it a straight line, because (like you said) no force is acting upon it, so it will go in a straight line.
I had this question on my physics test. I think I know the answer, but what do you think?
A bullet is fired into one end of a spiral tube. When it comes out of the other end (forgetting here about the effects of gravity) will the bullet follow a trajectory that...
(a) is a straight line.
(b) begins as a slight curve in the same direction as the spiral tube before gradually straightening out.
(c) begins as a slight curve in the opposite direction of the tube before straightening out?

The answer lies in your question. If you neglect gravity, after the bullet leaves the tube, what forces are acting on it? If no forces are acting on the bullet, it will not change direction.

Any advice for making sure your bird is moist at Christmas , and do the birds giblets help make a nice gravy?
Don't lay the bird on its back, flip her over, so all the juices run into the breast whilst giving it a good roasting.
I'm afraid that you will have to supply your own gravy (not custard).

The radio keeps telling about people's special traditions. I like hearing what everyone does on Turkey day. =) And, while I'm here, Happy Thanksgiving!
well we dont really have any particular traditions my dad has an auto immune disease so there have been many thanksgivings in the hospital but one thing we always do no matter what is have sweet potato biscuits! i know it might sound gross but search a recipe and they are the best thing ever! even my friend who hates sweet potatos loves the biscuits!

Thanksgiving is really giving thanks for a wonderful "harvest". No I guess that you can express the gratitude by roasting a turkey. lols... and celebrating it with the people that matter most.

We all say what we are thankful for. The day after Thanksgiving we trade out the Halloween and fall decorations for Christmas and winter decorations.

Well I do all the typical traditions, but my family's most unique one is on the day after Thanksgiving. Everyone in my family (husband, sister, parents, in-laws, siblings-in-law) are under one roof, so we divide everyone up into teams. Then, using only leftovers from last night and three mystery ingredients, we have to come up with the best possible dish. My dad will judge which is best, and whichever team wins gets to pick a movie for all of us to go out and see. This'll be the eleventh year in a row that we've done this, and because we love to cook and are all so competitive, we absolutely love it. Happy Thanksgiving!

toyota floor matt recall?
now i dont understand,how a floor matt could jam a gas pedal,(i know how it can happen read the rest) yet the driver can call 911 and told them the car is reaching 195km/hr and then go off a Cliff, i mean why didn't he just pull the matt?now i know toyota has the recall,but i dont understand why this guy didn't shut the car or slam it in neutral,of course toyota looks bad but hes a bigger moron for not knowing what to do,now of course the people need someone to point fingers to so,sorry toyota,i guess you should teach your clients to use there head every now and then,this is from a cop in a lexus yet he didn't realize what he should do and now 5 are dead

I have a '09 Lexus IS 250 w/ all weather mats, which is one of the cars covered by the recall. I have looked, and looked, and re-looked - to the point of trying to look at the gas pedal while pushing down on it (i. e. driving), a separate problem, I know - and can't for the life of me figure out how the gas pedal could get stuck on the floor mat. The mat doesn't even come near the pedal, horizontally or vertically.
Of course, reading the article about the police officer and the crash - he had a "loaner" unfamilar Lexus ES 350 with floor mats that weren't made for that model.
OK, that I can understand. To recall 3 million cars though? Seems over the top.
My car also has the paddle shifters, would be very easy to downshift.
Needless to say, my floor mats are staying where they are.

I totally agree with you, it's stupidity, not an error of Toyota. My fiance is a Toyota tech, and they were told it's from people removing the floor mats to clean or whatever, and then not putting them back in the car properly, on the holding hooks that are provided. But yet, because some people have to be told how to do EVERY single thing, it makes Toyota look bad, and not just that person with no common sense. It even says in the pack when you buy the thicker rubber all season mats, to REMOVE the carpet mats, otherwise it's too thick. But no, people don't listen, and just do what they please, and then blame everyone but themselves.
