A kid's view of the bible?
This is just for laughs guys; relax.

A child was asked to write a book report on the entire Bible. This is amazing and brought tears of laughter to my eyes.
I wonder how often we take for granted that children understand what we are teaching???

The Children’s Bible in a Nutshell
In the beginning, which occurred near the start, there was nothing but God, darkness, and some gas. The Bible says, ‘The Lord thy God is one, but I think He must be a lot older than that.
Anyway, God said, ‘Give me a light!’ and someone did. Then God made the world.

He split the Adam and made Eve. Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren’t embarrassed because mirrors hadn’t been invented yet.
Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn’t have cars.

Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel.

Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something.

One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a Ham. Noah built a big boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.

After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud
sports coat.

Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Lights out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues
on Pharaoh’s people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable.

God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then he gave them His Top Ten Commandments. These include: don’t lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your
neighbor’s stuff. Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.

One of Moses’ best helpers was Joshua who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town.

After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn’t sound very wise to me.

After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don’t have to worry about them.
After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star of The New. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn too, because my mom is
always saying to me, ‘Close the door! Were you born in a barn?’ It would be nice to say, ‘As a matter of fact, I was’.)
During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Democrats.

Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.

Jesus was a great man. He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount.
But the Democrats and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn’t stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.
Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven but will be back at the end of the Aluminum.
His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

What do you think of the name I chose for my main character?
for my new story?

She is a sixteen year old ice skater. She is also a competitive figure skater. Until a year ago, her family was perfect. She had the perfect parents and little sister. She maintained a 3.0 in school, which is good for someone who never has time to study. Her little sister is two years younger than she is. Her little sister’s name is Melody Amy Rogers. Back to the main character. Both she and her sister have dark blonde hair. But Melody has brown eyes, and the main character has crystal blue. The main character is also extremely pale, but Meldoy is tan. This visual difference is the one that eventually causes problems for her family and when Melody is in an accident and almost dies, their years of pain and hidden secrets come rushing out, only to show that the main character was born to a different man. The name I chose for the main character is Michelle Lee Rogers, but I don’t know if it sounds lame compared to her incredible talents and history. Maybe I should choose something more vibrant. But I don’t know what. Any suggestions?
Well Lee is her middle name. I’d be willing to change it though if it’s too.. anything.

I have a dream taht one day our natural instinct to judge others becomes extinct. I have a dream that some day we will see only the good in others and dismess their flaws effortlessly. I have a dram taht one day we will live ina world where hatred is a thing of the past and everyone is accepted. I have a dream that one day the only thears that exist are tears of laughter and joy and tears of sadness and fear are forgotten forever. I hae a dream that one day we will live ina world where doing the right thing is as easy as breathing. I have a dream that one day no one will ever think of breaking a promise or betraying someones trust. I have a dream that one day words will be used only to help and heal and nver to destroy or inflict pain. I have a dream that one day everyone wil be content with who they are adn that one day everyone will be able to pursue their dreams with no one standing in their way. I have a dram that one day all these things will come to pass and the earth will be filled with billions of smiling people and that all negative emotions and thoughts will disappear and never be seen again. I realize that this is a lot to hope for but I believe that dreams really do come true, and I’m determined that this one will be fulfilled before I become old and die.

Your dream is a beautiful one, and so is your essay. On the technical side, I could only suggest that you vary your sentences, meaning don’t start _every_ one with "I have a dream…."

Look how Dr. King did it (this is just an excerpt from his speech)..

Just reading those glorious words brings back the memory of That Day. Yes, I was one of the lucky ones, in the crowd of 250,000 that blazing hot August day around the Reflecting Pool on the Mall in Washington DC. It was one of the great moments of my life to hear those ringing words from Dr. King. My eyes are filling with tears as I recall those memories and those words…

If anyone thinks your essay is lame or pathetic, you can only pity them for what they don’t understand. It is clear that YOU understand it. God bless you and your beautiful dream.
