Can you identify this film for me?
I saw this as a kid in the early 70’s and all I can remember about it is Vietnam War, a scene involving a quicksand pit in a jungle, and at the end a soldier in a doorway watching tanks roll away to the Mac Davis song "Baby Don’t Get Hooked On Me". If you know this movie, please tell me the title. Thanks.

Below is a list of Vietnam related war movies from wiki and you can comb through those. I looked up the song too and found that it was recorded 1972 in july and hit billboards top 100 that september. The best I can figure your movie would have to have been something that came out in 1973 or later taking into consideration how long it would have took to make. Keep in mind that the song wasn’t made specifically for the film (if it was then I would say late 1972 films would apply) so I don’t think it has alot of relevance other than you remembering hearing it. Most of the movies do not have song credits and the plot listings are sketchy at best…maybe something triggers a memory? Anyhoo there is no movie-use credit for the song either. Take a look and see if the cast names jog your memory…I see alot of movies that I had once when I was a child and am surprised by how many people in them are famous and that I recognize them. Good luck combing through some of them are very good films and keep in mind "wiki" is not the begin-all/end-all of information.
