Basicaly, I have made a flight plan in FSX and I was wondering how i can set the route made in the flightplan so that when i turn the autopilot on it will follow that route?

Thanks

GPS will take you to your destination. Just make sure that your GPS is set to your destination. Then turn the autopilot and hit LOC, VOR , NAV(depends on aircraft) and make sure its set to GPS not NAV. It should take you where you need to go. Hope I helped

Christmas in Wonderland (2007)

IMDB rating: 4.60

Plot: It’s turning out to be a pretty rotten Christmas for the Saunders family. Having just moved to a new city from Los Angeles, they have no friends, no money and, with the exception of the bright-eyed Mary, no Christmas spirit. To make matters worse, their mother is stuck in L.A., stranded by airline overbookings. So, the Christmas shopping duties fall on Dad and the gloomy kids. Things start looking a bit more like Christmas when 12-year old Brian and 6-year old Mary find a satchel of money at the local mall and they launch a Yuletide shopping spree…that is, until the crooks who counterfeited the money chase them through the mall packed with holiday shoppers.

What phrases are derived from Alice In Wonderland?
I’ve heard people being called looking glass from when Alice goes through the looking glass into a fantasy world, and I’ve heard the phrase ‘if you see a hookah smoking catterpillar’ used instead of the phrase ‘pigs might fly’. Are there any more? Thanks and merry Christmas(:
ooh just thought of one! grinning like a cheshire cat ;)
tamart: lol everyone knows its about opium. all the victorians were on it, lighten up

The phrase ‘curiouser and curiouser’ – to describe a strange situation which becomes stranger – is often used in literate circles. ‘Grinning like a Cheshire Cat’ existed before Lewis Carroll borrowed it (so did ‘mad as a hatter’) – but both phrases became more widely known after occurring in the book. ‘Down the rabbit hole’ is sometimes found as a description of entering an unfamiliar and irrational world (quantum physicists are especially fond of the phrase).
The King of Hearts mentions ‘Rule 42′ as ‘the oldest rule in the book’; following the King of Hearts’ example Douglas Adams makes ‘42′ the meaning of Life (in ‘The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy’).
The word ‘chortle’ is now standard English, but first occurs in the poem Jabberwocky (where Carroll never says what it means).
A favourite saying of President Kennedy’s was ‘what I tell you three times is true’ – but this is a quotation from ‘The Hunting of the Snark’, rather than from the Alice books.

….

(Carroll was in fact a lifelong campaigner against recreational drug use, and the suggestion he was a paedophile was made by an American psychology student – who probably had never read the books – in the 1950’s. But you always get idiots posting on questions like these).

I’m often late for appointments, so I’ve been known to say ‘I’m late, I’m late, for a very important date!’ like the bunny in Alice in Wonderland.

Merry Christmas to you too!
Cocoa Dusted Love | Dec 23, 2009

You may not be aware that the author Lewis Carrol was an opium addict. He wrote it under the Influence. He was also a paedophile and ‘Alice’ was one of his victims.

‘Mad as a hatter’ is also used :)

Gary Houseman (Scott) is an overenthusiastic high school janitor who steps-up to lead the school’s loser tennis team to the state finals when the acting coach drops dead. The brash and often insulting new coach is intent on inspiring these underdogs not only to win, but also to stand-up for themselves. Although his coaching tactics may be unorthodox, including motivating his star player with a pre-game stripper, his heart is in the right place. Can anyone tell me what are the songs in the movie Balls out the gary houseman story?

The only song I could find that was in the movie was

"Amazing Grace"
Written by John Newton
Performed by Darci Monet

The only other way I can think of to find the songs on this movie would be to buy it and look in the end credits. Since it is such a new movie there is no soundtrack out yet.

Read and critique my short story?
I had to write a short story about something for english, I chose to write about waking up in the morning. Somone read and critique it please?

Silence. There is nothing. No thoughts . No distractions. No worries. Silence. This is peace. This is euphoria. My eyes slowly wince open and the world floods in. The damn bursts. Light peirces my cornea. A startling alarm buzzes all around me. Like a bonfire, my mind has been lit and is ablaze. I can hear the buzzing and thumping and yelling all around me. There’s flashing, dancing lights and I bolt up. I’m alive, awoken from the ranks of the dead. Summoned.

The sweet smell of maple syrup lingers in the air.

My eyes adjust to the unfolding scene around me. Sunlight seeps through the shades of my window, and my alarm clock beeps and buzzes on my bedside table. I pull my blankets aside, and cool air creeps over my body. I sit there. My expression glazed, my body still. Nothing but the persistant, perstersome beeping of that glowing box that rules my life.
I lean over and wrap my hand around the electric cord in the wall. With a quick tug, I pull the alarm clock out of it’s socket. Cut the power. Stop time. Liberate silence. I fall back into bed, and my eyes droop. My warm blankets smother me. There’s nothing now but that loitering scent of pancakes. The world wanted to wake up, but today it could wait a little longer. Silence.

Don’t say: my eyes slowly ‘wince’ open. just use open.

Don’t say: damn. It is dam.

pierces not peirces

awaken not awoken

pestersome, not perstersome (not even sure about pestersome)

its not it’s socket

lingering, not loitering

**I like your essay!
mary_g71 | Feb 04, 2010

There are instead of There’s ( that implies that is)
spell check!. u misspelled pierces, persistent and pester-some.
its not it’s and it’s a dam.. not damn. I would find a good wrap-up sentence other than Silence.

are you allowed to have sentence fragments? as in this is more interpretation and feeling than grammar?

great descriptions!
circumpunct1008 | Feb 04, 2010

Although dramatic, the first line contains too many sentence fragments. Try this: "There is nothing. There are no thoughts, no distractions, no worries, only silence."

You used the wrong kind of "dam." A dam holds water in. damn is like "God damnit"

I like the syntax of starting with "Like a bonfire" it’s really pleasing to the ear! :D

using "and" twice is sloppy. "the buzzing, thumping and yelling"

contractions shouldn’t be used in academic writing. "There is flashing" "I am alive"

I lovvvvve the resurrection words (awoken, dead, summoned) great implied analogy!

Summoned can’t be it’s own sentence. "…of the dead, summoned."

That singly line by itself is GREAT! really great imagery and sensory details! It’s really dramatic the way it’s set apart like that :)

seeps. good verb

comma after there, not period

perstersome isn’t a word. bothersome? aggravating? grating? incessant?

commas before "cut," "stop," and "liberate" (GREAT VERB!!!) not periods

faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaantastic ending. like, epic.

I also really like that it’s told in present tense. Awesome.

:)
Emilyyyy | Feb 04, 2010

Silence. There is nothing, no thoughts, no distractions, no worries just silence. This is peace. This is euphoria.

Light pierces my eyelids and the startling sound of the alarm buzzes all around me. As my eyes slowly open the world tries to flood in like a dam when it bursts.

Even with my brain shrouded in fog, I slowly detect the sweet smell of maple syrup in the air.

My half opened eyes adjust to the unfolding scene around me. Sunlight seeps through the shades of my window while the alarm clock beeps and buzzes on the bedside table. I pull my blankets aside and feel the cool air creeping over my body and I reach for the box that rules my life.

I wrap my hand around the electric cord of the buzzing box and with a quick tug I pull the plug from its socket cutting the power, stopping time and inviting the silence back into my life. I fall back into bed and my eyes are already closed. The warm, soft, inviting blankets envelope me like a cocoon.

I know the world wanted me to wake up but today the world will just have to wait a little longer.

Meanwhile all that remains is the lingering scent of maple syrup and sweet sweet silence.

Hope this helps

Poll: List your top 25 all time movie list in order! (It takes time, but it's fun) :) ?
And remember, this is *your* top 25 list. Not only the ones you think are the best, but the ones that are most special to you. I’ll leave the 10 points up to the voters. :)

You can include MFTs, just not TV "shows".

Some purists would get on my case for allowing made-for-TV films, but I don’t care–that’s just aspect ratio. Jesus of Nazareth and Pride & Prejudice are two of the finest period pieces ever filmed! And Franco Zefirelli’s epic work dramatizing the life of Christ is the finest ever put on film, hands down.

So, without further delay, my top 25 list:

Title of children's book about doll that came to life?
I remember reading a book roughly 10 years ago about a girl whose doll came to life. The title had either ‘Katie’ or ‘Daisy’ in it, the latter ringing more bells in my mind. I keep thinking ‘Little Miss Daisy’ but that title isn’t bringing up any results on google. The version of the book I had as a kid was dull blue with a picture of a doll on the front.
I also remember something about an attic – the doll was possibly stored in a box up there for a while? I’d much appreciate it if someone could tell me what this book was called because it’s driving me crazy not knowing!

Lady Daisy by Dick King Smith
In this short, readable story, a Victorian wax doll is awakened from a 91-year sleep by 9-year-old Ned, who finds her in his grandmother’s attic. The doll entertains him with talk about her former mistress, Victoria, who died as a young child, and other members of the family at the turn of the century. When Ned displays her at school for an assignment on Victorian times, he is teased by the class bully and ends up in a fight. Further adventures include rescuing her from a dog and a dollnapper. The last chapter stretches the fantasy a bit far, for it projects ahead to the year 2010. Ned, now a father, gives his small daughter Victoria the talkative doll companion. The plot is reminiscent of Rachel Field’s Hitty (Macmillan, 1969), but while Lady Daisy is a similar proper, old-fashioned doll, her character is not as fully developed. After all, Daisy has been asleep for the past many decades, while Hitty had 100 years of exciting adventures. More unexpected than the fact that a doll talks in this fantasy is the fact that her owner is a soccer goal keeper and a boy who is interested in learning about family history

How long does it take for a trade paperback to go from hardcover to softcover?
Specifically, "The Stand" comic…I like to visit my local barnes and noble to see if anything cool has come out lately and was shocked to find that they have the first 2 tbp volumes of the comic book I’ve been looking for. The problem was that they were each $25. It’s not that I don’t have the money but it just seems a little steep considering I could finish each one in about a couple of hours at most. Besides, I would much rather have a softcover than hardcover! Any help would be great. Thanks guys!
