It’s a thought that crossed my mind when I came across the British and American Tobacco (BAT) website. Why work at BAT? The tobacco merchants say: “We think the person who knows your aspirations and ambitions best is you. We can and we will help, but when it comes to making career decisions around here, you’re in charge. We will challenge you, give you responsibility and sometimes expect you to succeed in some very tough situations. What we won’t do is bore you or waste your talents.” According to one of its surveys, 87 per cent of BAT employees said they were proud to be associated with BAT. But it sells tobacco, a cancer causing drug, for goodness sake. Raytheon, one of the big military contractors for places like Afghanistan, which also provides the US government with radar and missile systems, offers great work life balance opportunities, along with home and auto insurance and subsidised education and training. Interested?
So what are some of the worst jobs you can do? Careercast.com says the worst jobs for 2010 include tax driver, lumberjack, iron worker, dairy farmer, welder, meter reader and yes, garbage collector is included in there. According to the criteria, the job is assessed along the lines of each having “at least one significant detriment, like extreme physical exertion, high risk of injury, low salary or lack of advancement opportunity.” The best jobs list includes actuaries, software engineers, biologists, computer system analysts, historians, mathematicians, accountants and dental hygienists. According to these commentators, these jobs are great because demand and salaries are high. They mightn’t be the highest paying jobs but they come in an environment that combines good health, low stress, a pleasant workplace, solid income and strong growth potential.
In other words, the best and worst jobs for 2010 are selected on five criteria: environment, income, employment outlook, physical demands and stress. You can read more about the methodology here.
It’s a case of each to their own really. Some of the so-called best jobs would not appeal to everyone and similarly, not everyone would agree on the list of bad jobs. Plenty of people out there would regard accounting and actuarial work as boring, some people don’t have a head for numbers so they won’t become mathematicians and others have no interest in history.
The thing that bugs me about these sorts of lists is that even with the so-called worst jobs, someone has to do it. There will always be a demand for dairy farmers, welders and taxi drivers. These jobs are still pretty important.
The same goes for the so-called politically incorrect jobs. If you are working for a firearms dealer, doing military research or marketing cigarettes, you might fall into that category. There are some people who would never join the military, police force or work for an oil company. But again, someone has to do these jobs and in any case, at least it’s a job.
And once more, people attitudes to them changes with the times. It wasn’t that long ago that financial advisers and bankers were regarded with disdain. That seems to have changed.
So what are the best career paths now? According to US News and World Report, the growth areas of technology offer growth jobs in such areas as biomedical engineers and computer analysts. Similarly, an ageing boomer population means more health care jobs. Everything from nursing to x-ray technicians to social workers. It also predicts high demand for creative jobs like technical writers and video editors and a boom market for security system installers. And of course, we’ll always need plumbers and electricians.
I would add that government has become a lot bigger since the global financial crisis. Keep an eye out for public sector jobs.
So what are the best and worst jobs to have? Tell us why. What job would you avoid? What job would you really want to have? What are the growth areas for jobs?

More Traffic Now
Some Internet marketers try to direct traffic to their site by racing around, zooming from one traffic generation activity to the next, whether it be SEO, PPC listings, making solo mailing buys, jumping on the latest traffic tool mania, or all the above. Misery must truly love company, because this is precisely how the majority of internet marketers manage their business. Before they have even finished with one method, they switch traffic generation vehicles and join a "hot" new program or purchase some "revolutionary" traffic tool in order to give the latest, unproven traffic strategy a spin.
What if I told you that there is a much simpler road to travel for getting to your desired traffic destination? What if you only had to have ONE traffic strategy, and one that's proven to work? And what if this single method delivered even more traffic to your site, and thus sales, than ever before? Instead of weaving all over the information highway, you simply stay in the fast lane and keep on cruising!
Of course you should have the best traffic generation vehicle and know how to drive it properly; otherwise, you risk getting ran over by a "King of the Road" or stopped by Google Search & Destroy.
Have YOUR OWN online product to sell, and drive visitors to your site with on A SINGLE traffic strategy! Instead of trying to make countless various plans and programs work, you can get behind the wheel of this ONE traffic generation vehicle - Your Own Affiliate Program!
Why would you want to start your own affiliate program? Well, imagine if instead of you trying to master various traffic generation strategies by yourself, you unleashed a pack of affiliates to do the driving for you! And starting an affiliate program is not as hard as one might think. It's quite easy at affiliate network websites like Clickbank.com., because you are going to offer them the tools and information to be successful. Would you prefer to be an affiliate for someone that basically gave you an affiliate link and told you to go promote it, or someone that provided you with a great product and a great plan for success? Obviously the latter.
After starting your affiliate program, you can have it stand out from the crowd by offering to train your affiliates and give them a package of marketing materials, such as PDF reports (that they can re-brand), articles, ads, banners, and more. You can even encourage your affiliates to purchase those solo mailings in newsletters themselves to promote YOUR offer. And, of course, the more money they make, the more profit you make!
Learn who your most determined affiliates are and offer to personally train them. You could have every one of them specialize in a single traffic generation method, whether it be sending out articles, purchasing PPC ads, or any other of the many technics you are trying to handle all by yourself currently.
Once you have got your affiliate up and running smoothly, it's time to put the pedal to the metal. Get more affiliates. When they notice how well your current affiliates are doing, they will want to jump on the bandwagon, which will increase cash flow greatly and drive even more affiliates to your campaign. This is how you, your product, and your program reach critical mass.
Or do you think you could do the work of many people all by yourself? Of course not! Even if you could, why in the world would you want to?
Stop "playing" in traffic and begin creating your dream with your own product and affiliate program.

Searching the web for online jobs or opportunities is gruesome and tedious. As you all may know there are plenty of scams and online companies claiming to make you rich overnight. Many people become victims of fraud and discouraged from finding a lucrative way of making a living from the comfort of their home.
Many of us hear of success stories and set out for a search on the web looking for our break. We find sites with huge hyperboles asking us to sign up and follow their "never before revealed secret", but later down the page find out it's only for a minimum price of course.
Due to so many scams it sometime becomes hard to distinguish between what could be real and fake. We as consumers should be aware that there are ways that we could protect ourselves and stay informed if we are interested in online based jobs or opportunities there are legitimate contacts for us.
The first thing to remember is to be educated before signing up for any opportunity or job. Make sure that the company is a legit company and that the company is not reported to the Better Business Bureau. The Consumer Fraud Reporting site can be used to view up to date scams and other beneficial information (http.www.consumerfraudreporting.org). This site also gives tips on starting your own online business with low startup costs and other helpful tips.
When looking at a potential opportunity if the site does not list much information about the company you should be cautious. A legitimate company would tell you everything about their company and what they want you to do.
Always remember that you should not have to spend money. Never release money to get what should be a free book or sign up for a program. If you're working for a company there should not be a fee to you. Read all fine print before agreeing to any terms and conditions.
Be cautious of emails and other solicitation that will ask for your information. When looking for an online job or opportunity legitimate companies will have websites that you can view and submit information.
Working at home can be very rewarding and fulfilling. Once you know how to protect yourself from normal schemes and scams that we face every day an online job or opportunity could waiting for you!

The Wedding Singer & DJ – James Barlow
Cumbria live wedding band singer or solo act Wedding entertainment dumfriesshire, wedding entertainment dumfries and galloway, wedding entertainment cumbria, wedding ...
The Wedding Singer - James Barlow is one of the UK's most popular wedding singers and provides entertainment for over 70 wedding receptions each year throughout the UK.

You've set the date, found the perfect location, and probably the perfect dress. What's next? The entertainment for the reception! This is an important aspect that will help set the tone for the evening, and the industry can be competitive. Many bands and DJ's book 1-2 years in advance for weddings during the busier months, so start your search early.
Where to begin? You might get a referral from your reception venue. Many keep a list of reputable wedding vendors they've worked with often. Or maybe your friend or co-worker did all the dirty work for THEIR recent wedding. If you want to look on your own, though, look for agents in your area that represent both bands and DJs. Based on your budget, wedding size, and music tastes, they will be able to help you determine your best fit. I will touch on booking through an agent vs. directly through the band or DJ later in this article.
Who to book, a band or a DJ? Often times, a bride might want a DJ while her parents are hoping for a band. If budget is an issue, usually a DJ will be cheaper than a band because you are only paying for one person's time as opposed to four or more. You can often get a small band (3-4 members) for the price of a great DJ. But will a small band have the variety you are looking for, or the energy?
Brides who go with a band over a DJ do so because they feel a band brings a more lively feel to the night. There is more interaction between the stage and the crowd. Your guests will be more engaged as they experience the band rather than just passively hear the same recordings of songs they've heard for years. The sound is alive, being created in real-time especially for you and your guests. Many brides feel the higher cost is well worth the added life a band can bring to the room.
Brides who hire DJ's do so for the lower cost (usually), and because they want to hear their favorite songs exactly as they remember them. They might feel a band is "cheesy" or they worry about song variety. However, a good band will know how to avoid the "cheesy" label with great vocalists and a classy song list. Variety shouldn't be an issue either, as many bands will be willing to learn a few special song selections, and the rest can be played during the band's breaks via CD's or iPods.
Thinking of saving money by using your cousin as the DJ? Maybe you found a great band at an agency, but your co-worker knows the drummer and you think you can hire the band direct and save some cash. Think again. Some brides are looking for the cheapest way to get entertainment, but this might not be the best way to go. Remember these tips when considering booking through an agent or direct:
- Some people think they can save money by booking direct. This isn't always the case. Many acts will ask for less money for jobs booked through an agent because they can get more work through the agent than they can on their own. Also, when a band books through an agent, the agency does a lot of work for them, saving the band time. So in many cases, the cost would be the same either way.
- True, an agent might need to take a cut from what you pay before paying the talent, because they are doing all the paper work, communication, and preparation. But you are also getting INSURANCE when you go through an agent. If your DJ gets sick or something else keeps him from doing his job for you, you can call the agent and get another DJ on short notice. If someone in the band can't make it, the agent can find an appropriate fill-in from their roster and you might not even notice the difference. Without an agency and their roster, the band might have to cancel or call in an old friend who isn't up to par.
- Another reason to book through an agency is the agency itself is an instant referral for the band or DJ. No agency would keep an untalented or unreliable act on their roster for long, because word would get around that the company and its acts are not to be trusted. Worse yet, clients might refuse to pay for bad service. The agency would lose money on those acts and have no choice but to stop booking them. Don't be turned off by the term "agent." They really can help you.
- If you are considering using a friend as your DJ, can you trust that everything will run smooth? That they have proper electrical equipment to handle the voltage, and enough songs and variety for the whole night? What if their equipment should break? Or one too many drinks leaves them less capable? What if they think Guns N Roses' "November Rain" is proper dinner music when you'd rather hear Sinatra?
There's much to be said for experience on a night as special as this. You might feel comfortable booking someone straight from clips on a web site, but it is your right to request to see them live. They might even clear with another bride and groom to let you stand at the back of the room during their reception for a while to see how they do on the job.
Some bands use recorded clips on their web site or media samples rather than live clips. Ask them what you are hearing. If a band feels the need to promote themselves using songs they recorded in a studio, it might be because they don't sound that great live. A lot of improvements can be made in a studio that can't be duplicated live.
Finally, the million dollar question: How much does it cost? This can vary greatly. Currently in a medium-large city, the price for a DJ can vary from $500 - $1500. Some DJ's have assistants, and some offer option packages such as lighting, games, and dancers.
A band can vary from $1,000 to $10,000. This is because bands can come as small as two or three people using backing tracks and keyboards, to an 18-piece band with strings, horns, and multiple singers. The larger the band, the more the songs should be able to sound like the originals because all the instruments will be covered. Having multiple singers allows each to sing the songs that best fit their voices. (You might love Journey, but do you really want a female vocalist to sing their songs?)
If you love a particular band but they seem too large or out of your budget, ask if they would be available in a smaller size. Maybe the horn section can be trimmed and just the singer and the rhythm section are available. (But remember, then you're going to hear horn parts played by a keyboard.)
You're going to do a LOT of planning leading up to this day, and by then you'll just want to relax and have everything go smoothly. Of course that might not be possible, but your entertainment will set the tone for your guests' evening. Make sure you have an act you trust, an act you feel fits in with your party, and security if something should go wrong.
Girls Make Money Online
make money posting links on google
With the real estate and stock markets in a dismal slump many speculators are hard up these days. Fortunately the Internet offers some great opportunities for speculators who are willing to learn and eager to earn. One of the biggest online speculation markets is domain names. Read this article and learn how to make money online with domain name speculating.
Domain name speculating is so profitable for one reason and one reason alone, the vast rate at which websites are being produced. Currently every short domain name (even ones like qxy.com) has been registered, either by site owners or speculators. Short domain names are now worth literally thousands of dollars because they are all taken, however if you happen to register a domain name it can cost you as little as $1.99. And thus, domain name speculating was born.
All that one needs to do in order to begin domain name speculating is to have a few dollars and some free time to invest. Simply set up a domain account at one of many online websites to buy domain names. Then begin to do your research.
Domain names are not all created equal, the two points that make for a profitable domain name to flip are length, TLD (or top level domain, which means .com, .org, .info, etc. with .com being the most profitable), and brandability. If you can find a short .com that is highly brandable then you have found a domain name that could be worth hundreds, if not thousands, and you can buy it for as little as a few bucks.
Another great strategy is to subscribe to expired domain lists. This way, when the registration on a domain name expires, you have an opportunity to buy domains which are valuable and were not previously available.
Now you have two options, flipping it to another domain speculator for some quick profit or holding onto it until you either find a buyer or its value increases (value always increases with time as short domains become more and more scarce). There are numerous forums for selling domain names, a good method is to list it on all of them to reach the largest possible target audience.
Hopefully now you can see the huge profit potential from the simple practice of domain name speculating. Get started making some extra money online now, its easy!
