how hard is navy boot camp?
i dont really want to join, but my mom wants me too. she says it will help me with confidence, i have no arm strength, i hate my body and will not wear shorts. i basically hate feeling this inadaquate and dont feel like being a failure at bootcamp….is there a way i can just hide away from people in bootcamp, not actually hide, but after they get done driving us to passing out, i can just lock myself away?

Boot camp is tough. You have a lot of discipline in the first few months of boot camp. 15 hour days and I promise you "YOU" will get in shape. They start out slow and increase your endurance week after week. Just obey the orders and show respect and I promise you everything will be okay for you.

Poor friend constantly guilts me into financially helping her and her felony boyfriend. What to do?!?
I just don’t know what to do about this friend of mine, anymore. She started dating someone 8 years older than her (she 21, him 29). After about a month of knowing him, they got an apartment together just because they both were living at home with their parents and "needed to get out." Even though I advised her to save up money first since she has several dozens of times failed her drivers test and he and his entire family has multiple drunk driving and other felonies. So I tried to help her save money and get them get a cheap place. Well against my judgment they got a one bedroom place in a drug dealer apartment that was more expensive than my 3 bedroom townhome in a nice neighborhood. She used to text me twice a week saying she was lying on the bathroom floor crying herself to sleep because of things he did to her. She stopped texting me those things after I told her she should move back home and take a break from him. He recently got another drunk driving charge and got jail time, where he showed up intoxicated and late. She said it was her fault because she told him not to go out drunk, and he did. So while he was in jail she guilted me into driving her to work and such. She would say she had coupons to restaurants and was lonely so we went out. But instead of splitting the bill she would count hers as the "free" entree and I would pay for the bill. Which is fine because she doesn’t have money and I have a steady job. But then she got two jobs. But then quit the other job because the bf was yelling that she was never home to clean and cook for him. So she was down to working about 2 days a week at a fast food place. She’s never had a job for more than 6 months. (it gets worse but you get the jist of it)

So she most recently has been asking me to take her to view apartments for them two because I convinced her to find a cheaper place (He’s been driving with a suspended license, but he is always fighting with her so he wont take her to look). But she keeps texting me these things saying she’s applying for foodstamps and she doesn’t have any money and I should feel bad for her boyfriend because he got fired. A few minutes ago she texted she had a giftcard to a restaurant (expensive place) and asked me if I wanted to go. Last time I went there with someone it was the cheapest meals and I got water and it was $30 for two people. She wants all three of us to go and I’m sure both will have beers and get appetizers and such, then make me pay because I’m a guilt ridden push over. I just don’t know how to say no. I can’t just leave her because this guy is a scum bag and I’m the only person who still talks to her. But I don’t want to go poor and get stressed out helping her live with a drunken asshole with multiple felonies. I’m trying to save for a house and friends have scammed money out of me my entire life.

So what should I do? I can’t find the strength to say no, but she’s driving me crazy. I have my own problems. I don’t know if I should just cut off contact with her, or keep trying to help her. I truly don’t know what to do. I’ve done everything I can for the past 6 months. What do you think?

I think you should tell her what you said "I have my own problems." Obviously in a nicer way but still. She isnt being a "friend" to you at all. Tell her if you want to be my friend you can’t keep taking money off me. A real friend would not put that much pressure on you. Good luck!! hope that helped just a little!

She probably wants your advice and help all the time because you have the perfect life. You have a boyfriend who has never had the police called on him like she does, your boyfriend takes care of you and pays for you and hers is a loser that wont pay for anything and is mean to her. It must be a really sad life for her, only having one friend. I think she is psycho and kind of a loser to only have one friend, she does it to herself. She is obviously a really really bad person to write stuff about someone who had unfortunate occurrences happen to them, yet pretend she cares about them when you say fine, don’t be with them anymore.

So honestly I think you should recommend that she rethinks her life. "It’s not them, it’s YOU"

What is the name of the old fox family show?
To be honest all I can remember was part of one episode. The show was about kids in elementary school. (Which for some reason reminds me of south park, which it isn’t.) There was a boy who’s mother always embarrassed him. He had to go to the doctor and get a vaccine in the butt. He kept running around the whole show till the doctor gave him it. That’s all i can honestly remember but do you know what show it was??? I think it was on before/after Angela Anaconda on nickelodeon.

I can run a mile in 5 minutes but that only attracts girls who are into athletic guys.

I can play Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody #2 and Chopin’s Revolutionary Etude on the piano but that only attracts girls who are into classical piano music.

I play guitar in a band (only do covers; rock, alternative rock), and I play drums in another band (write our own stuff; heavy metal, progressive, hardcore), but that only attracts girls who are into that.

Just be YOU. Do what YOU like and show the talents that you already have. There isn’t any magical way to "get all the girls." One thing that comes to my mind that I absolutely CANNOT do is sing. Some girls go for vocalists (those of which I have no chance with), others go for the drummer. Once you find a girl who appreciates your talents, you’ll find a girl who’s a good match for you. Best thing is, you’ll be happiest too because you won’t have to pretend to be someone you’re not. So, play whatever genre YOU like. I promise you there will be many girls who are into what you’re playing.
